To Donald Trump

It appears you may become our next president of the United States, and I have some concerns. As I saw you in a prayer circle of Christian men and women, I trust that you are a Christian man yourself. Nevertheless, from your recent comments, I am not sure you are aware of a few things, which I share with you here.

America is a land which has been dedicated and consecrated unto God, your Heavenly Father, and set apart by the lives of thousands of men and women. Many of our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, came to this continent and have given of their time and energy, and their very lives to protect America as a land of freedom for all of God’s children. This is God’s Country, even though many do not believe that any longer. God will not be mocked.

God gave us agency to choose for ourselves whom we would worship and serve. Some call it “free” agency, yet God and His beloved son, even Jesus Christ, suffered greatly to give us this gift. Jesus Christ became the Saviour of all of your Heavenly Father’s children by coming to earth to show us the way to return home. He not only lived, but suffered every form of temptation and anguish, pain, sorrow and loneliness,  so we could keep that gift of agency. In fact, Jesus Christ died to show the truth regarding the resurrection of man. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is in fact life after death.

The “Proclamation to the World” shares what God has to say about families and our relationships and also shares the calamities which are coming unless people repent. If you have not read it, I suggest you do.

Many of us have made wrong choices in our youth and growing up years. Some even continue as adults to make wrong choices, however, God has said that when a person repents we are to forgive them and fellowship them. Nonetheless, if they do not repent, then we need to stay apart from them, and pray for them.

If you become President of the United States, you have said you would build a wall around our nation and keep all others out. I wonder if you have forgotten that by building a wall, you also lock people in. You were born after Hitler took control of Europe, so probably know nothing about the horrors committed against millions of people, nor the shame and guilt Hitler caused many thousands who followed him to suffer after they came to their senses and realized what they had done.  When history is forgotten, it is repeated.

Sir, you also spoke of torturing those who believe differently than you do. Again, that sounds very much as Stalin or Hitler and those who followed them. I know that many do not believe the holocaust happened, but I know it did. Since the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth that have been wars and rumors of wars; Earthquakes in divers places around the world; Famine and poverty in many nations, including our own. Would you have Americans become a nation of murders? Would you really want us to become such as those of the ISIS population? I pray not!

The way the Lord and the early day prophets described this is as “birth pains”. They started mild and now have grown more frequent and more severe. Our day has become very much worse since that time of the Civil War. I wonder sir, if you remember why that war was fought? Once again, it was about agency or by another name: freedom. Some wanted slaves, other wanted to free them. This thing regarding freedom has always caused much bloodshed.

Many people do not believe that God is alive. They feel that when Jesus died, that was it. Some believe the Christ has not yet come. Many do not believe in the resurrection, nor do they believe in work for their dead.

I personally know what it is liked to be raped and tortured by multiple people and find out you are with child. Yet, I also know that God is not the father of such unhappiness.  He does not want us to be unhappy, but rather to have real joy and happiness, not only after we die, but while we are upon this earth. This is part of the reason He gave us Commandments, so we could find happiness and joy while upon the earth. He is not the Father of cruelty to others of His children. Yet, He will allow evil to happen to His children, because He gave us all our agency. Only, those who do evil must and shall pay a horrific price if they do not repent.  Their pains will be worse than what the Lord, Jesus Christ went through Himself, unless they repent. He bled at every pore from the pain. It was not only on the cross that He suffered.

May God bless you to make the correct choices, that you may have a change of heart regarding our Nation as well as all other Nations. Sir, every person living and dead are children of your Heavenly Father. If you do not believe me, ask God and read your version of the Holy Bible if you have one.

I so pray you will repent before you get into office, for I know America has stopped being what God and our forefathers intended it to be. In my humble opinion, from what I have seen and heard, many no longer care about God and truth, nor doing what is right in the eyes of God. Please Sir, repent before our once great nation is destroyed.

On Prayer

Many people have heard the Lord’s prayer so often, they tend to ignore it. They know words, but not really understand what the words really mean. From the Holy Bible, in the Book of Luke in the New Testament (King James Version), we read:

“ And it came to pass, that, as he (Jesus) was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
“And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
“Give us day by day our daily bread.
“And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
“And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
“For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
“And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
“I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Luke 11:1-10)

It is by the much begging that caused that good man to get up and open the door and give the bread unto his friend. He knew that if he did not get up, his friend would nag him so much he would get no sleep.

Does God know that you will continue to plead with Him over your struggles? Do you tell Him that you need Him? Do you go to him over all your days? Do you share your joys and your sorrows with Him each and every day? How do you expect His help when He never hears from you?

One of the things God has asked of us, is to come to Him. He asked us to pray over everything: our fields, our flocks, our herds, our food, our drink, our children, our parents, over everything and that even includes our enemies.  From the Book of Mormon we read:

“Therefore may God grant unto you, my (sisters and) brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you;

“Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save.

“Yea, humble yourselves, and continue in prayer unto him.

“Cry unto him when ye are in your fields, yea, over all your flocks.

“Cry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening.

“Yea, cry unto him against the power of your enemies.

“Yea, cry unto him against the devil, who is an enemy to all righteousness.

“Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them.

“Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase.

“But this is not all; ye must pour out your souls in your closets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness.

“Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those who are around you.” (Alma 34:17-27)

In my lifetime I have received more blessings than I can ever adequately give thanks for. The Lord has been so good to me. I have had so many experiences in sickness and in health that leave me with no shadow of a doubt in my heart and mind that there is a God in heaven, that He is our Father, and that He hears and answers our prayers.

As I look to, listen, and read what the prophets of God say, I treasure their words. My very first living prophet was Spencer W. Kimball, who said:

“We must remember that reverence is not a somber, temporary behavior that we adopt on Sunday. True reverence involves happiness, as well as love, respect, gratitude, and godly fear. It is a virtue that should be part of our way of life.” (Spencer W. Kimball)

It is my prayer that we may all remember to pray and bring God back into our lives on a daily basis. He needs to hear from us. I pray you will join your faith with mine in asking for His help in our lives and in our Country, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen

A Most Precious Book

Many years ago, two young men gave me a book. They told me that within it’s pages I would find truth. As I read from it’s pages, I saw what they told me earlier was truth.  I would like to share a few of the things I learned from this wonderful book that night.

This is part of the story of a man by the name of Lehi. He too was a visionary person, and one time he had a dream wherein he saw a tree. This is part of his dream:

“And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen.

“And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.

“And as I cast my eyes round about, that perhaps I might discover my family also, I beheld a river of water; and it ran along, and it was near the tree of which I was partaking the fruit. (1 Nephi 8: 11-13)

For me, the “fruit” that he spoke of, was the Holy Scriptures. In years past I had read from the Holy Bible, the words of Isaiah, other prophets and even Jesus Christ and his Apostles. I had read how wonderful it was for people who were treated poorly or shunned by others to follow those who could lead them to God. Growing up, I had wanted a Father as the father of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego who sent His Son to save them from wicked people who wanted to kill them. When those two young men left that blue book, I sat up all night reading, and towards the end of the night and early dawn, I read these words:

“Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.”

“And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.”

“And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.”

“And whatsoever thing is good is just and true; wherefore, nothing that is good denieth the Christ, but acknowledgeth that he is.”

“And ye may know that he is, by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore I would exhort you that ye deny not the power of God; for he worketh by power, according to the faith of the children of men, the same today and tomorrow, and forever.” (Moroni 10:3-7)

I would like to invite you to get a copy of this book and read it for yourself. It is called, “The Book of Mormon.”

Mormon was a man who was very valient in preserving the records of the descendants of Lehi as well as others who lived on the American Continent prior to Columbus; prior to the Pilgrims; prior to most other nations. God had instructed him to hide them up so they would not be destroyed. God had made a promise to His people that in the last days those records would come forth to help teach those who really did not know Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. This is why the book is named after him.

Since God never lies, and Mormon knew that, he buried them up and many centuries later, another man, asked God which Church to join. Many churches use that same Holy Bible, only different versions of it, but they all teach different things. But that is for another day. Just now, I invite you to read and then pray and ask God yourself if this true or not.

You can obtain a free copy at: http://www.mormon.org/  If you have any question, there are people there 24/7 and someone will be more than happy to answer your questions. If you don’t want to talk, you may request a copy of the book and no one will bother you.

Always remember, and never forget: Jesus Christ died for you personally. God is your Heavenly Father and He loves you, personally. It is up to you, personally, to learn that for yourself, so you too may have a personal testimony of this truth.

To The World

I wish to invite all Baptized Christians and all Jews around the world to join in Prayer to the God who created us all, in the prayer of the Old Testament Prophet Hezekiah as he blessed his people (2 Kings 19:19) Any others who wish to join with us, I know the Lord would love to hear from you.

“Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.”

To all Baptized Women around the world: and any others who wish to join with us:

I join with the admonition of a more recent prophet: Gordon B Hinckley, here are his words:

“I feel to invite every woman everywhere to rise to the great potential within you. I do not ask that you reach beyond your capacity. I hope you will not nag yourselves with thoughts of failure. I hope you will not try to set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. I hope you will simply do what you can do in the best way you know. If you do so, you will witness miracles come to pass.”  President Gordon B Hinckley

May God grant unto us the righteous desires of our hearts, is my prayer in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen

Meditation

http://www.mormontabernaclechoir.org/listen/live?lang=eng#d go to “If You Could Hie To Kolob”

When I need to be unpolluted, I used to go up to the mountains. High up, where humans do not go any longer. There used to be a spot high up in the Colorado rocky mountains, just above Rifle.  It was close to an old Ghost town. I went above that.

At night, I gazed up into the sky and saw Heaven. I know you may say that is not heaven, but have you ever really seen that type of view? I mean, really seen what is up there? It is only a small portion of God’s handiwork. a minute speck of His works. And yet, with all He has created, He knows our names. Each and every one of us.

After a week or so up there, I could come back down into the world below and dwell among humans without being grumpy or sad. Truth does set you free, and I want you know that since Joining the Church of the Son of God, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints, I have found truth for the first time, out side of the voice of the Holy Spirit of God that is.

Real love is not the way the world shows it. Real love is of God. It is clean and decent. It is soul lifting, not soul being shamed.

Here is what God shared with the world of humans: His rules of real love:

THE FAMILY
A PROCLAMATION TO THE WORLD
The First Presidency and Council of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

WE, THE FIRST PRESIDENCY and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.

ALL HUMAN BEINGS—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.

IN THE PREMORTAL REALM, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshipped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body and gain earthly experience to progress toward perfection and ultimately realize their divine destiny as heirs of eternal life. The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally.

THE FIRST COMMANDMENT that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.

WE DECLARE the means by which mortal life is created to be divinely appointed. We affirm the sanctity of life and of its importance in God’s eternal plan.

HUSBAND AND WIFE have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. “Children are an heritage of the Lord” (Psalm 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives—mothers and fathers—will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.

THE FAMILY is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners. Disability, death, or other circumstances may necessitate individual adaptation. Extended families should lend support when needed.

WE WARN that individuals who violate covenants of chastity, who abuse spouse or offspring, or who fail to fulfill family responsibilities will one day stand accountable before God. Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.

WE CALL UPON responsible citizens and officers of government everywhere to promote those measures designed to maintain and strengthen the family as the fundamental unit of society.

This proclamation was read by President Gordon B. Hinckley as part of his message at the General Relief Society Meeting held September 23, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

May God Bless America

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

Why have we allowed others to take GOD out of America? Why have we allowed others to make Prayers Illegal? This is not what God had in mind when He dedicated America for the safety of His people.

Here, in America we have welcomed all people. Yet, why have we allowed them to change what we stand for? That is not why this great country was founded by our forefathers. Perhaps you never lived where murder was common place. Perhaps you have not lived where you were tortured every day because you said incest was wrong. Perhaps you have not been drugged, and beaten and tortured by others because of what you believe. I HAVE!

If you don’t stand up for what is right in America, than you are what is wrong in America. Do you really believe that the God who created this planet will allow this to continue forever?

May Father will forgive my outburst, and allow me to stay free, nonetheless, I shall speak up for what is right, even if I am killed by those who want to stop me. I may have to roll in a wheelchair up to the Capital, but I shall do it nonetheless. I may not have arms to defend myself any longer, yet I shall continue to speak truth. I have been heard in many places and many states when evil is trying to creep in unawares. I shall not be silent unless God Himself asks me to be still. Perhaps this is why He has given me this particular illness. So I can be still and allow others to stand up.

Please, I beg of you, Stand Up and do something before God Himself does it for you.

Prayer

My first prayer was probably a lot different than yours. The good thing is, we both prayed.

My mother died when I was 3 years, 6 months and 23 days old. The following day things changed in our home. I remember being in a cold, dark closet, battered and alone. Terrified of the dark, because I had been told a large black man was going to come out of the dark and hurt me, I huddled in the corner and wept quietly. But that which had been told me is not what happened. I had never seen a black person before, so had no clue what one looked like. But rather than a large evil man hurting me, the room became very warm and light rather than dark. When I opened my eyes I was in a large field where the sun was shining, flowers were growing, the birds were singing, and butterflies were swirling around in the sky. I was with someone whom I knew loved me. I never saw his face, but I felt safe and that was what I needed.

When I was in my 20’s, Doctor’s told me that was just a dream, however, for this woman, that was a blessing. For the next while, I ended up living in my father’s back yard, with animals to nurse me, rather than humans. I watched the changing of the sky from light to dark and back again. I slept under a grape arbor and talked to God in ways that few humans ever do. I existed on the fruit of the trees when they fell to the ground and wild berries. I drank from the ponds of water my sister made from the garden hose when no one was watching. Life was most different for me then most children.

As I grew older, I talked to God with music. I would strum the strings of my Autoharp and look up into the heavens. When I got too polluted by humans, and stopped liking myself, I would go to the mountains where I could be with God and the animals of nature. I tried to make the best out of hard times, yet I was missing something. In many countries around the world, many children do the same things. We are all different, yet we are all the same. Many children struggle because of unkind humans. Yet God knows all things and those whom harm little children will have to answer to Jesus Christ for what they do.

In 1973 two young men came to my door. Those blessed men taught me the true order of Prayer, and I have been praying that way every since. When I was able, I got on my knees and addressed my Heavenly Father. I gave thanks for the many blessings He had provided me over the years. I told Him of my sorrows and fears and asked for His help. Then, I closed my prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, got up and began again.

Now, I pray either sitting down, or laying down. I do still bow my head, however at times, I can not even do that, yet I know He hears me. In my own home, I can speak my prayers out loud. When I am around people, I only pray inside my heart and mind. Now, there are times when I pray for and with a room full of people, and other times during the day or night I pray by myself, yet I still pray for others as well as myself.

Those two young men were Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints. They gave me a book called The Book of Mormon and told me that I am a child of God. I had always wished I could be a child of God, but did not believe that a person such as I could ever have that honor. Yet, I testify to you that God loves me, just as He loves you. We may be worlds apart in the way we were raised, yet, God knows each of us by name. He knows all we have been through and are going through. He knows all we have done. He knows what we stand in need of and He does answer our prayers. He created the heavens and the earth and He is the only way we can have peace upon this earth.

it is my prayer that you too will listen when the Missionaries come to your door. Invite them in and listen to what they have to teach you. Read the material they give you and ask your questions, then, get on your knees and ask God if it is not true. He will tell you in your heart and in your mind, and then you too can have peace in times of trial.

I share these things with you In the Sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen
